fabtic is excited to be delivering a juvenile firesetters training day in central London on Wednesday 26 February 2014.

Understanding Attachment, Child Development and Emotions when Working with Juvenile Firesetters is a one-day training course aimed at all professionals working with children and adolescents who set fires.

The training provides those attending with a theoretical understanding of how attachment and child development impact upon direct work with juvenile firesetters. This theoretical underpinning is then developed over the course of the day into a practical understanding of how professionals can allow children and adolescents to express and explore their emotions when addressing firesetting behaviour.

Delivered by fabtic staff with over ten years’ experience of working directly with children and adolescents who set fires, the day allows delegates to learn from evidence-based practice and real-life case studies in a structured, informative and enjoyable learning environment. Delegates will have the opportunity to use hands-on art and craft materials during the training day in order to leave with new, practical tools and exercises to use in their work.

The training will be held at The London Welsh Centre, 157-163 Gray’s Inn Road, London, WC1X 8UE.

The venue is approximately 15 minutes’ walk from Kings Cross Station and is easily accessible via tube from all other mainline stations across London.

The training day runs from 1000hrs to 1630hrs, with coffee and registration open from 0930hrs. Lunch is provided and delegates are encouraged to stay for a post-course drink in the venue bar upon completion of the training day in order for networking opportunities to continue.

The cost of the training day is £115 per delegate.
