fabtic’s open training day on 26 February 2014 brought together thirty professionals with a specific interest in juvenile firesetting.

Fire service managers, firesetter caseworkers and specialists in the field of forensic psychology and play therapy explored the impact of attachment and child development upon children and adolescents setting fires. Combining theory and research with practical strategies for use in direct work, delegates also discussed current cases to share experience and ideas in how to best meet the child’s needs.

Twenty six of the thirty delegates completed feedback forms at the end of the day, 100% of whom said they found the training useful, would recommend the training day to others and would like to attend future training by fabtic. Additional comments included,
