On the celebration of its two-and-a-half year anniversary, fabtic is very proud to have now worked with 38 UK fire and rescue services.
The work has included training workshops for the Chief Fire Officers Association (CFOA) regional firesetter teams, one and two-day CPD courses for staff experienced in working with children and young people, and five-day firesetter foundation courses for personnel new to this specialist field of work.
In addition to working with fire and rescue services across the UK, fabtic has also been privileged to train fire departments in the US, speak at conferences in Scandinavia and the US, and work with personnel from forensic psychology, education, mental health, police, youth offending and social services (both in the UK and the US). fabtic has also offered advice to the Welsh Assembly following a spate of deliberately-set grass fires in the spring of 2015, met with CFOA staff to discuss the issuing of national firesetter guidelines, and chaired and co-hosted the UK juvenile firesetter conference in April 2015.
fabtic would like to thank all the professional agencies it has worked with to date, and give particular praise to the many experiences and good humour delegates have shared during training, and looks forward to expanding this work further throughout 2016.
