fabtic is pleased to announce it’s next one-day CPD juvenile firesetter course on 26 November 2015 in central Manchester.
Enhanced Pro Social Skills When Working With Anti-Social Adolescent Firesetters is the second in a series of four training days taking place across the UK in 2015-16, each with a different content. All four days focus on the key social, cognitive and behavioural skills adolescents need to address their anti-social behaviour, including firesetting. Delegates can book all four training events or attend individual days as stand-alone courses.
The November training day focuses specifically on pro-social skills, values and modelling. This key area in achieving behaviour change in clients will be explored through the use of evidence-based theory and application of practical exercises.
The training is aimed at all professionals experienced in working with children and adolescents who set fires. The first one-day course in the series was attended by personnel from fire and rescue services, police, youth offending and forensic psychology. Feedback from the day included,
